Hitchcock-Tulare 3, Highmore-Harrold 0
HITCHCOCK — Using set wins of 25-11, 25-5 and 25-13, Hitchcock-Tulare swept Highmore-Harrold in a 281 Conference matchup on Thursday.

The Lady Patriots, who are the third-ranked team in Class B, remain undefeated with a 13-0 record.

Katelyn Schroeder recorded 12 kills on 28 of 29 attacks to lead Hitchcock-Tulare. Rebecca Huizenga was 12 of 14 hitting with five kills.

Isabel Gilbert was perfect on 17 serves with four aces for the Lady Patriots, while Ella Johnson was 15 of 15 serving with four aces.

Lila Johnson and Gracyn Bixler each had 13 assists. Johnson was 36 of 36 setting, while Bixler was 24 of 24.

Cambree Hoekman led defensively for Hitchcock-Tulare with nine digs, while Lila Johnson had eight digs.

Jada Baloun led Highmore-Harrold with eight killson 21 of 25 attacks. Lainee Ping and Destiney McCauley were both 9 of 13 with a kill.

Addison McDonnell and Ping were both 6 of 6 serving for the Pirates. Brooklyn Baloun was 37 of 38 setting with 11 assists.

Pin and McCauley each had 12 digs.

Hitchcock-Tulare hosts Iroquois/Lake Preston on Tuesday in Hitchcock. Highmore-Harrold faces Iroquois/Lake Preston in Iroquois on Thursday.

Miller 3, Faulkton Area 1

MILLER — Using set scores of 25-17, 15-25, 25-20 and 25-14, Miller recorded a 3-1 victory against Faulkton Area on Thursday.

The Rustlers, who are ranked No. 5 in Class A, improved to 7-1.

Paige Werdel was 29 of 34 hitting with a team-high 10 kills for Miller, whiel Gracen Werdel was 14 of 20 with eight kills. Kaihlyn Anderberg was 24 of 26 with seven kills and Aleah Schlechter was 19 of 22 with seven kills.

Paige Wreden also led the Rustlers in serving, going 18 of 20 with two aces. Schlechter was 14 of 17 with an ace, while Jolie Palmer was 18 of 19 with an ace.

Olivia Resel racked up 32 assists on 108 of 108 setting for Miller.

Palmer was 18 of 18 passing with eight digs, while Schlechter was 15 pf 18 passing with 15 digs. Gracen Werdel and Kate Lichty finished with 10 and six digs, respectively.

Miller will play in the Big Dakota Conference Tournament today in Ft. Pierre.

Elkton-Lake Benton 3, De Smet 1
DE SMET — After dropping the opening set, Elkton-Lake Benton rallied for a 3-1 victory against De Smet on Thursday.

The Lady Elks, who improved to 5-7, won the match with set scores of 25-27, 25-15, 25-20 and 25-11.

Andrea Renkly had 13 kills to lead Elkton-Lake Benton. Charlie Thooft had 11 kills and Sydney DeVries had nine kills.

Thooft, along with Jocelyn Prosch, Pautpm Kuehl and Malyhia Slegers each had two aces.

Hazel Luethmers led De Smet with 20 kills. Brooke Jennings and Ivey Schoenfelder had eight and seven kills, respectively.

Megan Dylla, Luethmers and Mirra Beck each had an ace for the Lady Bulldogs. Dylla also finished with team highs of 36 assists and 19 digs.

Jennings had 13 digs, while Aubree Blue had seven digs.

Schoenfelder and Alyssa Asleson had three and two blocks, respectively, for De Smet.

The Lady Bulldogs will play in the Iroquois/Lake Preston Tournament today in Lake Preston.
