PARKSTON — The James Valley Christian boys’ won the team title during the Ethan/Parkston Meet held Thursday at the Parkston Country Club.

The Vikings, who had the top two runs in the varsity boys’ race, finished at 30 points, while Kimball White Lake was second at 40. Avon was third at 63, followed by Mt. Vernon/Plankinton at 80.

Dax Frandsen had a winning time of 17:27.75 for JVC, while teammate Kaden Ober was second at 17:34.62. Tayne Herrmann was 10th for the Vikings at 18:48.08, while Levi Crandall was 12th at 18:56.98.

Jackson Wolter of Sanborn Central/Woonsocket finished just outside the top 5 with a time of 18:20.89 and Sam Welsch of Wessington Springs was eighth at 18:32.61.

Kimball/White Lake used a score of 26 points to edge James Valley Christian by three points for the girls’ team title.

Ella Pollreisz of Ethan/Parkston won the varsity girls’ race in 19:27.22.

Daril Frandsen led JVC with a time of 20:54.34 to finish fifth, while Hadasah Olson turned in a time of 21:09.95 to finish seventh and Andee Fransen was ninth with a time of 21:29.42.

Micaiah Brantner was 13th for the Lady Vikings at 22:35.25.

Alexis Roesler of Wessington Springs was 12th at 22:24.87 and Lainey Goertz of Sanborn Central/Woonsocket was 19th at 24:21.61.
